The below should answer some more questions about celebrant-led ceremonies and how I work as a celebrant, but you are also welcome to get in touch directly!

How would you sum up what a celebrant does in 1 sentence?

A celebrant creates the ceremony for life’s big moments, by finding out the person or people’s story, their values and intentions to build a ceremony that is entirely personalised and bespoke to them.

Which ceremonies do you offer your support with?

I am keen to support across a variety of life’s special moments and rites of passage, but predominantly I offer my services as a celebrant for weddings, funerals, name givings and vow renewals. If there is another moment you would like to celebrate (even a divorce!), please feel free to still get in touch!

Where are you based?

I live in East London so most of my services are in Greater London. I’m also from South Yorkshire so have a base there too! But if I am the right celebrant for you, and you are further afield, I am more than happy to work with you and the location you desire, even if it’s abroad!

How do you help in the run up to the day?

Once you have decided to book me as your celebrant, I will meet with you to find out about your story and what you would like to include in your ceremony. I will then go away and create a personalised service for you, which I will share back with you to check over. Once it is all confirmed, I will be there on the day before the service begins to check everything will run smoothly, before performing the ceremony for you, your family and your friends. For clarity, while I do not organise the overall event itself (like a wedding coordinator or a supplier), I pay great attention to the ceremony specifically.

What is the first step we should take?

Definitely research if a celebrant-led ceremony is for you. Then, message me with your date (if you have it!), type of ceremony, and location and we can set up a zoom call to chat things through and see if we fit!

What do you wear on the day?

It may not be something you’ve thought about, but thought I would mention it - I am more than happy to wear a specific colour or item (given enough time to source it if I don’t already have it!). You may want all black, or bright and colourful, just let me know!

Do you do ceremonies for the LGBTQIA+ community?

Absolutely! I’m here to celebrate everyone’s milestones, whoever you are and whoever you love.

Can we still have religious elements in our ceremony?

The flexibility of a celebrant-led ceremony means that you absolutely can include religious elements. If there are some religious elements you would like to include, we can talk these through during the planning process, to make sure they included in the way that you would like. It’s best to check what you’d like to include so we can make this the day you want as much as possible!
