Why have a celebrant to officiate your wedding?

The first wedding I went to with a celebrant was a few years ago. The entire experience felt incredibly personal, with every word spoken with love and deep understanding. The celebrant’s dedication to truly knowing their love story brought an extraordinary sense of warmth and intimacy to the day. You could see in the way the celebrant interacted with the couple that they had spent meaningful time together to find out, and therefore capture, who they truly are. It was a beautiful reminder of how meaningful and unique a ceremony can be when a celebrant is at the heart of it all.

Many people are surprised that this is not the legal wedding! But I quickly understood why the couple chose to handle the legal part separately and treat this ceremony as the real deal. Knowing it didn’t include the legal aspect didn’t detract at all from the sincerity of their ceremony.

As your celebrant, what services do I offer? How does it work?

As a celebrant, I offer a highly personalised service to create a wedding ceremony that truly reflects your unique love story and values. I work closely with you to craft every aspect of the ceremony, from the vows and readings to any special rituals you want to include. My goal is to ensure that your wedding day is a deeply meaningful and memorable experience, tailored to your wishes. Whether you envision a traditional, modern, or completely unique ceremony, I’m here to bring your vision to life, making sure that every moment feels authentic and special to you.

Before meeting in person, I would have a no-obligation zoom call with you to ensure that I am the right celebrant for your big day - it is important to ensure that you are getting the service you want from the right person.

Once we have confirmed this, we would then meet in person to more extensively understand your love story, your values, and your vision for your wedding day. This also includes discussing the logistical aspects such as your preferences and any special rituals, traditions or readings that you specifically would like to include that would make your ceremony really unique to you.

I then go away and create a ceremony that is a true reflection of your relationship. This involves creating personalized vows, selecting meaningful readings, and incorporating any special elements that align with your vision for the day. This part of the process is when I would share back my proposed ceremony for you to give feedback and make sure your touch has been incorporated into it.

On your big day, I guide you and your guests through your ceremony with warmth and positivity, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and reflects your vision. I arrive in good time before the ceremony to check everything is set up as it should be for your ceremony, and stay afterwards to make sure you can transition into the next stage of the day smoothly.

You will feel absolutely looked after and that your wedding ceremony is in safe hands!

I have trained at the International College of Professional Celebrants, in which I was immersed in the world of celebrancy. I went through extensive training about ceremonies, rituals, and how best to support my clients.

Master of Ceremonies

In addition to officiating your wedding ceremony, I can serve as the MC for the rest of the day, handling announcements and guiding the flow of events to ensure everything runs smoothly.

I can also offer my brush calligraphy skills to create beautiful place cards for your wedding breakfast!
